As a designer, what am I really good at?

I’m a fast learner, with a technical mindset. I am a great listener, highly empathetic, and I also like doing my own research. I love brainstorming ideas, bringing them to life, and seeing the impact. This fuels my passion and keeps me going.

What industries have I worked in or designed for?

I've worked a lot with SAAS products.
I've worked in the following industries: Marketing, healthcare, finance, Microsoft SharePoint administration, sports betting & casino, intranet & CMS tools, hardware embedded systems, and productivity tools.

What interesting stories can I tell from my previous work experiences?

I know what a bad workplace looks like. In my opinion, this is as important as knowing the opposite. But, I also know what a great team, open communication, and good processes can achieve. Nothing beats a well-connected team, that is given the freedom to express their fears and is encouraged to produce their best work.

Setting too many rules can kill creativity. It's important to define processes, that's true, but if you reduce Designers to order-takers, you will end up with dissatisfied people who will start hating their jobs and leave you. Communication is the key, and never forget that business is all about people.

I believe it's important to talk about ideas, no matter how crazy they might seem. A learning mindset is all about exploring the unknown, thinking "What if?" and allowing yourself to be surprised by newfound knowledge.

I love geeking out about icons and pixels, and the more technical side of design 🎓

How do I spend my free time?

I'm always looking for creative outlets. I love working out. I am exploring movement through boxing, calisthenics, gymnastics, weightlifting, dancing, snowboarding. Lately, I've been exploring music, especially sound design, and trying to find my own "sound". It's something I've been putting off for almost a decade.
I enjoy electronic music and dance to it while I wash the dishes 🕺
